How my blog started:
The Fertile Pen has been stewing in my mind for a year – trying to decide what I want to write about and why from a 55-year-old Black woman’s point of view. I finally realized that at this stage of my life, instead of slowing down, my life has accelerated! My interests have increased, and so has my need to write about them. So, well, there you go. 🙂
My Two Pieces of advice:
Write what you know. (Always a personal favorite) But don’t be afraid to step out of your box to learn about something new to write about.
Post with pictures. Sometimes a picture will draw someone in before the words. Pictures not only compliment your post, but complete your story. 🙂
